Instructor, Choreographer

Maʻataua

Half Samoan, and raised in Utah, her love and foundation for dancing began at a young age with her family’s Samoan dance group. Throughout her childhood she learned from various Polynesian instructors which built her admiration and appreciation of the Pacific Islands. Ma’a is proud of her roots and she continues to share the Polynesian culture with the students through dance.

Her strength and focus being Ori Tahiti, she is an important part of our leadership team here at D.C. Hula Girls. She is a shining example of MANA WAHINE, or a powerful woman. A talented dancer and choreographer, our community is truly blessed to have her.

“Find your mana, find your power, find your spirit. If you’re looking for strength and community, we will help you spark, or re-spark, that fire.” -Maʻa
